Vietnamese fashion designer launches new collections in China

During Harbin Fashion Week, 28 designers from around the world unite to showcase their unique collections, each representing the culture of their respective countries.
The beauty of Vietnamese women is highlighted in the new collections created by talented designer Thuy Nguyen.
Thuy presents various long dresses made from traditional fabrics such as cotton, silk and satin, featuring vibrant colors.
Each creation is inspired by the stories and dreams that the designer discovered while interacting with local women during her visits to remote locations across the country.
The locally acclaimed designer graduated from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts and obtained a master’s degree from the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Ukraine in 2003.
She is not only a renowned fashion designer but also an accomplished visual artist involved in painting, art installations, as well as movie and fashion design.
In 2011, she opened her first store in Ho Chi Minh City. Her designs often revolve around themes such as motherhood, homeland, spirituality, and nature.
The Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association’s chapter in Ho Chi Minh City (VCFA HCMC) will continue to promote people-to-people diplomacy activities to increase understanding between the people of Vietnam and Cuba as well as between HCM City and Cuban localities in particular, contributing to further intensifying the special relations between the two countries. On Wednesday, the 19th Asian Games commenced with the rowing competition. The Vietnamese team made an impressive start, securing a spot in the finals for four out of the six events they participated in. Nguyen Thi Giang and Pham Thi Thao came in second place in the women’s heavyweight two-oar sculls event, narrowly missing first place to their Iranian competitors. They achieved an impressive time of seven minutes and 12.57 seconds. As a result of their exceptional performance, they have earned a place in the finals. In the women’s four heavyweight coxed event, where six countries participated, Dinh Thi Hao, Du Thi Bong, Ha Thi Vui, and Pham Thi Hue secured a commendable third-place finish, completing the race in an impressive time of six minutes and 39.89 seconds.
