Promoting Cuba to the Youth: Efforts of HCM City’s Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association

The Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association’s chapter in Ho Chi Minh City (VCFA HCMC) will continue to promote people-to-people diplomacy activities to increase understanding between the people of Vietnam and Cuba as well as between HCM City and Cuban localities in particular, contributing to further intensifying the special relations between the two countries. This orientation was approved at the third congress of the association for the 2023-2028 tenure held in HCM City on December 28, VNA reported. Truong Thi Hien, chair of the Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2023 – 2028 term, spoke at the congress. Vietnam pavilion attracts visitors at Mediterranean Tourism Exchange

This is the first time that the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy participated in the BTM, one of the largest annual tourism events in the European country, which attracts more than 10,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors from 26 countries. Visitors showed great interest in Vietnam’s rich cultural heritages and diverse tourism services. This year, Vietnam and Italy are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their bilateral ties (March 23, 1973-2023) and 10 years of strategic partnership (January 2013-2023). Vietnam Women’s Rowing Team Qualifies for Asian Games Finals

On Wednesday, the 19th Asian Games commenced with the rowing competition. The Vietnamese team made an impressive start, securing a spot in the finals for four out of the six events they participated in. Nguyen Thi Giang and Pham Thi Thao came in second place in the women’s heavyweight two-oar sculls event, narrowly missing first place to their Iranian competitors. They achieved an impressive time of seven minutes and 12.57 seconds. As a result of their exceptional performance, they have earned a place in the finals. In the women’s four heavyweight coxed event, where six countries participated, Dinh Thi Hao, Du Thi Bong, Ha Thi Vui, and Pham Thi Hue secured a commendable third-place finish, completing the race in an impressive time of six minutes and 39.89 seconds.
